1. Use safe, water-free, all natural products in your genital area to maintain your microbiome. Only products without water are chemical-free. Bacteria need water to grow so that’s why chemicals are added to water containing products. These chemicals increase hormonal issues that can aggravate pelvic problems.
2. Vaginal dryness is normal, especially after childbirth and menopause. Use a vaginal moisturizer daily or every other day to help prevent unpleasant itching, odor, or even tissue loss and atrophy that can lead to loss of sensation.
3. Using the right pH is critical. Use a product internally that has a pH of between 3.0 and 3.5 to maintain the right microbiome. For your external vulva / genital region, the pH has to be between 5.0 and 5.5. Vaginal and skin pH changes over time and can lead to increased infections and localized aging.
4. Pelvic floor exercises and breathing exercises will help strengthen your pelvic region. Prevent leaking, incontinence, constipation and pain with a better understanding of your pelvic muscles and good posture. Good posture is related to looking and feeling good, including in your pelvic region.
5. Use it (otherwise you'll lose it). Massage your genital area and keep having sex to maintain tissue and sensation. Blood flow is critical for healthy pelvic tissue.
